ESTABLISHED in 2005 as a non-profit public benefit corporation. Designated a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service.
Private music lessons are essential to a young musician’s growth and education, but in some schools the only available music instruction is from the school’s band director. There is simply no way parents can afford the luxury of private music lessons from an outside teacher.
Typically, band directors usually have limited time to devote to each individual student. Some schools only have one person running several music programs. Other schools have minimal music education programs or no music education programs whatsoever.
Usually because of budget constraints, teachers end up volunteering on their already overtaxed time to help their kids improve. However, to really progress, a student needs the benefit of outside one-on-one instruction in conjunction with whatever instruction they may receive from their school programs.
Everyone Gets Music was formed to fill that need.
